Laguntias "Cappuccino Stout" is a very drinkable stout. Unlike most "coffee" style stouts I can drink bombers of this slightly caramel and bold coffee tasting stout all day. Don't get me wrong I like most coffee stouts, but usually they are just to overbearingly sweet, or strong to drink more than one or two. The guys from Lagunitas married two of my favorite things with this concoction: Beer and Coffee! And that's how I roll!
I would have to agree. It has been a long while since anyone has consistently produced a stout of both good taste and ABV. Stone had it going with the IRS but last years was good...but a bit overbearing with the sweetness that seemed to drown out any semblance of flavor. Good beer, just not great anymore. Where is the annual Rogue Imperial Stout of old??
